Today we are buying a different cream for face, hands, foot,
body and even a different cream for boys, girls and children. We buy a different cream for infants and new-born.
As far as I reckon, in early 20’s, there used to be a single cream
for all. The same cream was used for boys, girls, children and infants. It was
applicable on face, hands and body. But, today the times have changed, these
big MNC’s are targeting the masses with a different cream for everyone. These all
are their marketing stunts.
Though the skin on face is softer than the skin on hands and
legs, but, still the absorbing capacity and the nutrients required are same all
over. The face-skin needs same nutrients as the skin on hands and legs. Today people
buy products after watching AD’s on media. They don’t understand that the model
advertising the products may not be actually using the product herself/himself.
Sometimes, we see advertisements where popular actors and
actresses are promoting soaps and creams; we get inspired
by the story of the advertisement. We should not forget that these advertisements
are designed by the company’s marketing team not the model acting in it. The model
is a paid person used for advertising the product, she may not be personally using
the product.
So, now think twice before buying a bag full of different creams
for all family members. You can use single all purpose creams like Nivea,
Boroplus,
or Borolene
which are good to use on all skin types. These creams are easy to carry and may
not give an immediate glow on your skin like your popular cosmetics, but, these
will surely nourish your skin and give good results in a longer run.
