“Just Friends”—The Controversy

“Just Friends”—The Controversy

“We are Just Friends”. We all must have heard these tag-lines several times and you must have thought exactly what I am thinking right now. Whenever I come across such lovey-dovey couples, they escape saying these golden words, “We are Just Friends.” I could never understand the logic behind all this drama. Why do you need to clarify? What I feel is that people see only what we exhibit. What we don’t exhibit is never known to the people.

Throughout the year I see such cases in public gardens, cinema halls, malls, and restaurants. These young couples meet after fooling their college teachers and parents, and whenever they are caught they excuse saying that “we are just friends”. Even after several serious actions by local politicians, parents, and society, still these couples are seen every now and then hiding behind the trees or chatting in the parking areas and then all of a sudden these “Just Friends” become valentines on the Valentine’s Day

Parents are working hard to educate their children. They have deep faith in their children. But what are these children doing?  They are spoiling their future for this temporary satisfaction of running away. Running away from school, from colleges and running away from what they are meant to do. Today’s youth is running away at all ages. When a kid running away from food and milk. When they grow up as teens, they start running away from studies and parents. And now when are expected to concentrate in their jobs and should be serious about their careers, they are running away and dreaming for the higher job rather than working hard and improving themselves. They too waste time on these so-called just friends and spoil their married life.

I don’t understand what today’s youth is earning from this running away from responsibilities.  They have to change now for the better.
