April 1st, widely celebrated as “April Fool’sDay”. All over the world this day is related with hilarious stories and incidences.
Since morning, everyone starts fooling friends and family. This day is connected to laughter and funny
stories. But, on the other side of the coin this day is related to serious
issues like ‘start of new financial year’. This involves more serious affairs like
closing last year’s accounts, completing all due paper works before closing the
accounts.
The closing is a very hectic affair in all business fields;
it involves lots of extra efforts and attention from the accounts department.
All banking sectors and other manufacturers and service oriented departments need
to create and settle all bills, receipts etc on or before the 31st
March date.
On the other hand, this ‘April Fool’s Day’ adds humor,
laughter and smiles to our lives. We forget all our worries and laugh and enjoy
sharing our experiences on being fooled. In Madhya Pradesh, in Ujjain this day
is celebrated and “Tepa-Sammelan’ is organized, where all famous and popular
poets and comedians are invited to do humorous mimickery to entertain the
public.
These activities should be entertained to release stress and
promote healthy lifestyles in our people.
Today, everyone, even a small child is leading a stressed life. We need
to release this stress at timely intervals to protect ourselves from various
diseases. “April Fool’s Day”, is a stepping stone to release stress and laugh
out loud. People shout “April Fool” on the face of the person being fooled and
laugh on him/her. This lightens the environment and spreads equality andhappiness among people. We all need such days to ease out our stresses and tensions
