The increase in the air air-pollution over the years has effects on the human skin. Though our skin acts as a shield against these air pollutants, but still it has severe negative effects on the skin. Today, when cancer is taking over almost every fifth person on an average, it becomes very necessary to protect ourselves from this dangerous disease. As the summers are approaching, the harmful UV Rays of sun are going to affect us directly. It’s not only in summers but even throughout the year our skin faces the attacks of several weather differences, climatic changes, rays from computer and gas burners, etc.

These rays coming from sunlight, gas-burners, computers and even the air pollution from vehicles, dust and dirt etc are affecting after skin in a negative way. The smoke from vehicles is very harmful for our lungs and skin. This pollution is causing several dangerous diseases to people of all ages.

Sunscreens To Protect Skin

“The prevention is better than cure.” The best remedy to cancer is the precaution from the disease. These sun-screens protect the skin facing the sun and exposed to air. Due to these air-pollutants and chemicals, the person is more prone to catch these diseases. These sun-screens contain chemical filters, which are combination of two or more ingredients like avobenzone, oxybenzone, octsalate, octocrylene, etc.

Sunscreens are also known as “Sunblock” are rich in minerals like zinc oxide. It absorbs the radiations from the UV Rays of sunlight and saves the skin for some time. The increased use of sunscreens and sunblocks can control wrinkles, aging and sagging of skin also.
Sunscreens are commonly rated and labeled with sun protection factor (SPF). The power of the SPF decides the fighting capacity of the sunscreen lotion, like SPF 15, SPF 20. The greater the power the greater is the protection against the UV Rays of the sun.
