Today’s Women: Losing Womanhood in Being Multitasking

Today our women is flying jet, fighting on borders, treating patients, teaching children in schools and colleges and doing what not. She has over-passed men also in doing variant tasks. She takes care and feeds the family when at home, she works like a professional when at office and nurses her parents and takes care of them when with them. She is doing multiple tasks throughout the day and trying to prove herself.

She is not only earning, nursing, feeding or driving but also spending quality time with her children to pick up and drop at school and tutions. She is not forgetting to check their lunch boxes weather they have had their meals or not. Everyone in the family is dependent on her for big or small needs. Be it mother or children, be it father or son or anyone else.

The Dying Womanhood

But I feel that the woman inside her is losing her womanhood in these multitasking schedules. I can see that the young girl inside that strong woman is dying and suffocating. She hardly gets time to look herself in the mirror and appreciate those curls falling on her cheeks or those sweeping eyelashes touching her brows. I really want you to revive this womanhood on this women’s day 2019 before she dies completely.

Today, women are stressed since childhood. This stress is oif studies, peer pressure, appearance and so on. These stress levels hurdle her emotional growth. In olden days, the children used to be carefree and they had no stress till adolescence. This resulted in better physical and mental growth. These children performed good in whatever field they opted.

But, today even small girls are suffering from PCOD and other hormonal disorders. These all are results of increased stress and hectic lifestyles. Today, parents want their child to be active in all fields like singing, sports, studies, general knowledge and so on. This increased expectations are resulting in continuous classes and activities, the child hardly gets any time to rest and relax.

The Remedy

The only remedy to cure this dying womanhood is to let your daughter play and decide her own choice of profession and hobbies. Let her grow with time instead of you forcing your decisions on her.

Our government should promote working-hours policies for the young mothers so that they could spend more time with their children. This will not only reduce her physical and emotional stress but also enhance “HappyFamilies” in our country.

Women as a Mother and Sister

A mother besides giving birth to a child always takes care of its nourishment, education, upbringing and proper care. She cooks food for family. She nurses each and everyone with special concern and care. She teaches her children to face life with strength and power. She is always on toes to take care of her family and children. As a sister she always takes care of her family, she acts as a mediator between the family members.

Women’s day Celebration in India

In India, Women’s Day celebration involves several events and programs organized especially to protect and educate women on a large level. Seminars and meetings are conducted to arrange workshops for women empowerment.

People are made aware of government policies favoring women and girl-child. Several NGO’s are funded and awarded for their contribution towards the women empowerment programs.

Besides, this several schools and colleges organize awareness programs to educate rural women. Toilets were constructed under one of such schemes only in rural communities. Today, even women from rural areas are educated enough to work and earn their own bread. They are taking their children to schools and “aanganwadi”. They have become self-dependent.
